Who We Are
Mid Devon Healthcare is the Primary Care Network (PCN) for Bow Medical Practice, Redlands Primary Care and Wallingbrook Health Group.
Primary Care Networks were established by the NHS in 2019 to strengthen General Practice by enabling practices to recruit a wider range of skills. This has allowed us to build a diverse team that works alongside existing GPs and nursing staff. Mid Devon Healthcare now employs 18 members of staff, 10 of whom work directly with patients. Our clinical team includes Pharmacists, Health Coaches, Social Prescribers and an Occupational Therapist.
We remain committed to supporting our practices by providing a multidisciplinary team that enhances the care offered in General Practice.
Our Catchment Area
The Primary Care Network covers the combined catchment area of the three member practices and their branch surgeries. Bow Medical Practice and North Tawton, Redlands Primary Care in Crediton, its branch site in Thorverton and Wallingbrook Health Group in Chulmleigh and its branch site in Winkleigh.
The three Practice covers an area of over 400 square miles of mid Devon villages, towns and countryside.
